Often, the preparation for Passover is so focused on the cleaning and kashering of our kitchens that we don’t always take the time to examine the incredible texts that prepare us for the Zman Herteinu, the Time of our Freedom. How do we see ourselves in the story? Is it the bread of affliction or of freedom? Why so many fours?

In this class, we’ll spend some time preparing ourselves for Passover by examining including our Haggadah, Talmud Pesachim, and other texts on the holiday. Let the joy and meaning of the season help get you through the cleaning and excited for a meaningful seder!

Rabbi Jennifer Greenspan is the Senior Rabbi of Beth Shalom Congregation. She received her Master of Arts in Rabbinic Studies and Rabbinic Ordination in 2019 from the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at the American Jewish University and received the Henry Fisher Award for Outstanding Achievement in Jewish Studies.
