Beth Shalom blasted into the future on Sunday, October 23rd when 36 children and adults lead by Andy Alpert and Steve Muchnick, blasted out 36 blasts on 36 shofars! More than 200 Hebrew school children, their parents and congregants gathered in the sanctuary for the very loud celebration to kickoff the year of the congregation’s double chai anniversary! The celebration began Saturday morning during Shabbat services when long time members were honored and memories were shared about the congregation’s beginnings. All contributions in honor of the congregation’s anniversary will be donated to the United Synagogue’s Hurricane Relief Fund.
